WELCOME LSCC MOMS!
Parenthood is challenging and Lake Sawyer Christian Church would love to partner with you, support you, and help equip you to grow your children into sold-out followers of Christ.
This ministry has been created to connect mothers in the church with one another via moms’ groups in homes through devotionals, fellowship, prayer and mentoring; ultimately creating a support network of mothers and Christ-centered environment for their children.
We would love for you to be a part of this ministry! Read over the descriptions of each program, find the group that is right for you, and get plugged in!
For moms of children all ages
During these groups, moms will have an opportunity to really connect with one another on a deeper level through a devotional, prayer, and fellowship with other women. We will share stories, offer support, and build those necessary female friendships that will carry us along through motherhood.
While moms are meeting, children will play in another part of the home, supervised by one of our church volunteers, godly women who have a heart for caring for our kids.
If you are interested in deepening your relationship in Christ, being part of a Christ-centered support system, and giving your child an opportunity to play with peers in a safe environment, we would love for you to join us.
For moms of children ages 0-18 months
Being a new mom is one of the most precious times in your life. However, it can also be the most challenging — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. During this group, we will have circle time with our children spent in song, play and prayer, followed by a devotion for moms. We will fellowship with one another and be a support to each other as we embark on this new journey of motherhood.
GETTING CONNECTED & BUILDING A SUPPORT SYSTEM!
As a part of this ministry, you will not only have the wonderful opportunity to get connected with other moms like you, but also with a mentor, a godly woman who has been there already and who is dedicated to helping other moms be successful in this great task with which God has entrusted us. Each group has a mentor mom who checks in with her group and is in regular prayer for us!
Once a year, groups will work together on a service project to help spread Christ’s love into the community by meeting people’s needs. As moms, we will have the opportunity to set the example of having a servant’s heart for our children. Group leaders will inform the group of the service opportunities as they are scheduled.
CELEBRATIONS!
Twice a year we will celebrate motherhood and bring all the groups together for an entertaining and motivational time together. In the fall, we have our annual Harvest Party with our children. In the spring, we have a special moms-only dinner designed to refresh, renew, and encourage you in your job as a mother.
This ministry is designed to help all moms at LSCC get plugged in.
